This standard blued pistol exhibits few areas of age spotting. One spot of wear at the lower front right slide, some age freckling on backstrap; still retains 98% original factory blue with near mint Colt logo black composite grips. Fine bore and action. Comes in a period box that is unmarked on outside, no end label, but includes a set of original instructions. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection. CORRECTION: Factory Letter states serial No. 55242 shipped January 31st, 1927 in .380 caliber with 3-3/4" barrel and blued finish to Schoverling, Daly & Gales, New York in three gun shipment.
