Standard World War II issue with the matte military finish. Left side of slide is stamped "REMINGTON RAND" with proof "P" on top. Standard sights. Left side of frame is inspected "FJA" for Frank Atwood with "P" and magazine release. Right side of frame has the Ordnance wheel and is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPERTY M1911A1 US ARMY". Features short checkered trigger, arched mainspring housing, checkered spurless hammer, serrated slide stop, checkered safety, blued barrel stamped "HS" for High Standard, and brown composite Keyes style grips. This pistol is in 100% arsenal applied finish, appears unfired as it sits. Comes in a craft type box with two extra wrapped magazines. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
