The late Ken Steggles was known for producing best gun tools equal to, if not better, than those made in the 19th century. This nicely done tool kit contains 3-piece cleaning rod of brass and ebony with ivory handle, two turnscrews with blades stamped "KS", and a 12 bore chamber brush with Ken's full last name and "ENGLAND", all with ivory handles. Also included are a pair of ivory (?) snap caps with brass heads, and a fine bird knife with blade marked "BG" and "06" on ricasso. The ivory handle of this knife is decorated with well scrimmed image of an owl. Engraving is signed "M Redini". These tools are French-fitted into a lift out tray with space underneath containing an Eley Shooters Diary and invoice. condition: Excellent, essentially as new, with some old, original, repaired checks in ivory of large turnscrew, with other checks in small turnscrew, and knife handle. Case leather is excellent, with a few scuffs. A very neat bit of kit.
