The United States Firearms Manufactured Company operated in Hartford, Connecticut under the original Colt blue dome. There, they produced some of the finest high finish Colt type firearms ever produced, equal to, if not superior to the originals. They decided to make the 1910, a model so rare that only the wealthiest few collectors in the world could ever hope to afford. To say this pistol is a work of art would be an understatement. The frame on the right is stamped "USFA AUTOMATIC CALIBRE 45 RIMLESS SMOKELESS". Left side of frame has the patent date ending December 1905. The entire gun is finished in a Colt type high polish blue finish, all small parts including knurled hammer are finish in the brilliant Nitre blue to include long smooth trigger, checkered safety, checkered slide stop, magazine release, hammer and grip screws. The diamond checkered grips resemble those found on the Model 1905 but with a 1911 slant. It is absolutely breathtaking and offers a change for a regular collector to own one of the rarest Colt semi-automatic pistols ever produced. Comes with two correct style two tone, tempered magazines in the original box with paperwork. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
