This is a First Model single shot tartet pistol listed as the Single Shot Model of 1891. Made on a revolver type frame with recoil shields on both sides. Has the extended Smith & Wesson logo patent date black composite checkered grips. Front sight is a Paine target blade, pinned in the barrel rib; rear target sight mounted on barrel latch. Features mirror Smith & Wesson royal blue finish with case colored trigger guard and hammer. Manufactured 1893 to 1905. Condition of this pistol is stunning; there is a hint of wear at the inside strap screw, otherwise near new inside and out. Comes in the scarce proper Smith & Wesson type box with proper end label.
