Lot contains a type 38 carbine, a type 99 rifle and a type 99 long rifle. (A) A Japanese type 38 series 2 bolt action carbine, made by the Kokura Arsenal in 6.5mm. Rifle is in excellent condition, with 85% of the original blue finish and full "Mum" is present. Stock retains original finish with scattered dings and light marks. Rifle includes both sling swivels and cleaning rod. Original bolt/receiver cover present. (B) Japanese type 99 bolt action rifle made by Kokura Arsenal in 7.7 mm. Rifle is in excellent condition with 85-90% of its original blue finish, as well as the full "Mum". Stock retains original finish with scattered dings and light marks. Rifle includes its original anti-aircraft sight, mono-pod, bolt receiver cover, and cleaning rod. Rifle is all matching numbers and chrome bore is in excellent condition. (C) Japanese Type 99 bolt action long rifle produced by Nogoya Arsenal in 7.7mm. This limited production rifle is likely to have been produced in 1941. It is thought to be the initial production of this rifle. Rifle is in excellent condition with 80-85% of its original blue finish present. Receiver has the number 178 on it and bolt has the number 781. The "Mum" is ground off, and rifle retains its anti-aircraft sights and mono-pod. This lot represents an excellent trio of Japanese rifle variants.
