Lot includes a SMLE II, SHTLE III, SHTLE III, and a No. 4 MK 2. (A) SMLE II was manufactured by Lithgow in 1942 in .303. Rifle is in excellent condition with approximately 90% original finish remaining, with an excellent bore, and excellent stock with several minor dings, scattered light marks, and a 1/2" chip on the left side hand guard. Receiver, bolt assembly, and magazine appear to have been arsenal refinished. Receiver and bolt assemble are matching. Rifle has a "F.T.R." stamped above the serial number on right receiver. (B) SHTLE III manufactured by Lithgow in 1918 in .303. Rifle is in good condition, with approximately 60% original finish remaining. Bore is very good. Stock has numerous dings, light marks and several chips on left side of rear butt. Rifle is not matching. (C) SHTLE III manufactured by Ishapore in 1912 in .303. Rifle is in good condition, with approximately 605 original finish and a nice patina. Bore is very good, and stock is good with numerous dings and light marks. Rifle does not accept a magazine, as stock has not been cut for one. Receiver has an adapter to allow only for single shot fire. Rifle is not matching. Stock disc is missing, and rear sling swivel has a missing screw and a chip in the stock. (D) No. 4 Mk 2 manufactured in .303, all the metal work and stock are arsenal refinished. Rifle has approximately 95% finish remaining, and excellent stock has a large ding on the left side near the trigger group. Bore is very good. None of these rifles appear to be import marked.
