This is referred to as the .22/.23 target Model of 1953 featuring six shot, double action built on the square butt improved I frame with pinned barrel, recessed cylinder, flat latch, Patridge front sight, target adjustable rear sight, case colored hammer and trigger, silver medallion diamond checkered walnut grips. Matching number on frame, barrel, cylinder and right grip panel. These were manufactured from 1953 to 1973. Model number was first stamped in 1957 so this gun was made 1953 to 1956. Bright case colors. A light drag line, muzzle wear and some thinning on straps. Solid 98%. Near mint grips. Strong bore. From the G. Thomas Puett Collection.
