Built on the five screw N frame with six shot, double action, blued finish and case colored trigger, walnut grips and lanyard ring. Matching numbers on back of cylinder and under barrel. Case colored hammer has the side oil serrations. These revolvers were supplied to the United States Army to supplement the Colt Model 1911, taking advantage of the same caliber ammunition. Revolver is stamped "UNITED STATES PROPRTY" under the barrel. Butt is stamped "US ARMY MODEL 1917". Left side of frame is stamped "GHS" in circle for Gilbert Stewart. Revolver shows high edge wear on both sides of the barrel extending a couple inches from muzzle. Some thinning on rear top strap and rear back strap. Overall cylinder high edge wear and light drag line. Beautiful case colors on trigger. Excellent grips. Fine bore and action.
