The frame is a Remington manufactured 1944. Left side of frame has inspector stamp "FJA" for Frank Atwood, who is not listed as a Colt inspector. Has a Colt slide with a proof "P" on top, Colt markings on left side with patent dates and pony in center. Features brown composition Keyes star grips, checkered no-spur hammer, short checkered trigger, serrated arched mainspring housing with loop, serrated slide stop and safety. Barrel is marked "HS" for High Standard. Slide finish is thinning with overall high edge wear. Frame is in the same condition. Fine rifled bore.
