Lot contains 2 military rifles. (A) Spanish Mauser marked Oviedo 1926 in 7mm. Mismatched bolt action rifle in fair condition with freckling throughout, with little of the original finish remaining. Bore is dark with significant areas of freckling. Walnut stock has its original finish with scattered light marks and several dings. (B) Post WWII Czech Vz. 24 in 8mm Mauser. This unissued k98k variant is in near mint condition, and was made in Czechoslovakia after WWII. This rifle exhibits features found on late war German k98ks. The Czech maker is on the left side of the receiver, and the receiver and bolt have matching numbers. No other parts are numbered, which is correct for this variant. The butt plate is of the Kriegsmodel style and has freckling. Bore is mint, and the laminated wood stock is in near mint condition. Original sight hood is present, but the cleaning rod is missing.A desirable and uncommon variant of the k98k series.
