Lot contains 3 military rifles. (A) WWII Hungarian GEW94/40 in 7.92 x 57mm, dated 1944. Rifle was made under German occupation and is marked "jhv", for use by German forces. Receiver and bolt housing are matched, but all other numbered parts are mismatched. Bluing appears to be the original finish and is in very good condition with some freckling present, mostly around the muzzle area. Bore has some light pitting near the bore. Stock is of the typical late war German stained rough laminated type, with several dings present. A very uncommon rifle. (B) Spanish Mauser Model 1893 in 7 x 57mm manufactured by Loewe in Berlin. Bolt is not matched to the receive, but the trigger guard and floor plate are matched to the receiver. Fair condition with a refinished receiver. Walnut stock in original finish with numerous dings. Rifle's finish has numerous areas of freckling, spotting, and scattered light marks. Bore is dark with lots of freckling. (C) Early Swiss Schmidt-Rubin Model 1889 in 7.5 x 53.5mm. Rifle appears to be made around 1900 and is in fair condition with numerous areas of fresh freckling. Blued finish is approximately 40%, with an excellent bright bore. Stock is in very good condition with several dings. an uncommon early example.
