Lot contains a British SHTLE I in .303 bolt action rifle, and a British SHTLE III bolt action in .303. (A) SHTLE type I manufactured by "BSA" in 1907 and in fair condition with approximately 40-45% of the original finish remaining, with areas of freckling throughout. Stock is in good condition with numerous marks and dings, and bore is in good condition. Includes British issue sling. Rifle's receiver has its original serial number crossed out, and another number added. The receiver and bolt have matching numbers. Royal British crown and other markings are seen on right side trigger guard band. (B) SHTLE type III manufactured by Einfield in 1918 and the entire rifle has been arsenal refinished. Black metal finish is in very good condition. Very good stock has numerous marks and dings, and bore is in good condition. Includes British issue sling. Rifle does not have matching numbers.
