Rifled octagonal barrel is unmarked, fitted with sights and solid steel rib on bottom. Flat percussion lockplate is marked "LEMAN/LANCTR, PA." in center and stamped with scrolls. Figured maple half stock with brass furniture, double set triggers, and pierced pewter nose cap. Barrel and lock retain a dark brown patina, hammer screw replaced during period of use, some minor spotting at breech. Stock retains a dark patina with some lighter areas from handling, small crack running through sideplate screw, a few scattered marks. A very attractive and well-made half-stock rifle with a Lancaster lock.
