Verenigde Oost-Indische Compagnie is the Dutch East India Company. This cannon bears the VOC company crest on its breech in raise relief. The tube is 52" long, with a 3-1/2" bore. The patination is mostly verdegris and the date of manufacture is uncertain, however, we believe it is of modern manufacture. Nonetheless, it is a massive and extremely attractive 6 pounder bronze cannon that would be perfect for yard decoration and arms and armor aficionado's home.
