World War I Artillery Luger. These were made for machine gun and tank units or anyone that needed a compact carbine style weapon. They came with a detachable stock/holster combo that would easily turn it into a shoulder fired weapon. Also available was the 32 round snail drum magazine. This Artillery comes with fine tune front and rear sights which is scarce. Gun is all matching gun with the exception of the magazine. It is unit marked "4.R.J.R.78 1" which is a Reserve Infantry Regiment. Gun has a frosted but shootable bore. Scattered pitting and blue loss. Nice checkered walnut grips numbered to the gun with no chips or cracks. Correct Style 8 round detachable magazine not numbered to the gun. Comes in a reproduction holster with a reproduction cleaning rod. A very desirable and collectible Luger.
