Early Rare Breitling Navitimer AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association) Wristwatch in Stainless Steel with black enamel dial. 40mm case. Early model, pre-reference #806, Circa 1954. Caseback is marked "Stainless Steel" & "Breitling" with Breitling "B" logo. Inner caseback is marked "Breitling Watch Corp Swiss" & "844935". Movement: Valjoux 72, marked on the bridge "Breitling Watch Corp Seventeen 17 Jewels Unadjusted Swiss", having the import code "BOW". Crown also bears the Breitling "B" logo. Caseback shows scratches, both inside and out. Beaded rotating bi-directional bezel, three subsidiary dials, luminous Arabic markers, luminous hands and stainless steel pushers. Dial marked with "AOPA" wing logo, "NAVITIMER" & "Swiss Made". Running and functioning properly. Hands and markers have patina consistent with age. Possible refinishing to dial and sub-dial hands. Includes black leather replacement strap. CORRECTION: Photos added.
