Factory letter states this revolver shipped to Australia with 7" barrel, nickel finish, cut for shoulder stock, and checkered black rubber grips to M. W. Robinson, New York City for export December 18th, 1881. The shipment was for 250 revolvers and 250 stocks. Revolver retains 97% of the expertly reapplied nickel finish. Matching serial numbers on cylinder. Fine case colors. Excellent grips which fit perfectly. Overall 98% finish on gun with razor sharp legends. Frame is cut for shoulder stock. Wrong number stamped on latch but proper number on cylinder. Has a fine bore and action. A lovely condition Smith & Wesson.
