Circa 1810, includes original tompion. A good Empire period Spanish flintlock holster pistol by Zuluaga. The lock chiseled in low relief with scrolls gold sunken poincon. The hammer and fizzen chiseled en suite. A Spanish form barrel with gold and silver inlay, marked "Herraduras" (horseshoe iron). The Buttcap, trigger guard and ramrod types chiseled in low relief on gold ground. Side plate chiseled en suite. Figured walnut full stock of Empire form finely checkered at wrist. Condition throughout appear untouched and uncleaned. Metal with no significant corrosion, barrel with some traces of original bluing, gold ground mostly intact. Stock in crisp condition throughout with no appreciable wear. A fine Spanish pistol.
