The Model 1895 Marlin carbine is one of the hardest to fine firearms in the Marlin lever action line-up. This carbine features full barrel, full magazine, twin bands, post front sight, folding ladder carbine rear sight, walnut stocks and carbine butt. This carbine was specially equipped with factory sling swivels and the saddle ring was omitted. CONDITION: Barrel and tube are a rich, chocolate brown patina with sharp barrel legends. The case colored frame has turned a dark brown patina as well with some evidence of some wiped-on finish. Two of the frame screws are extremely distorted; the lever screw as well. Wood is slightly shy to metal, very good with added finish and usual bumps and bruises. Bore has sharp, well defined rifling with frosted grooves. This would be a good shooter with a great Western look and a worthy rifle of a restoration.
