These are fairly scarce with a total production of only 25,000 just prior to the Nazi invasion. This gun was made in 1938. Stock disc shows that this gun was used by the Paramilitary Internal Border Police “CETN“. When the Germans took over complete control of the Czech State, most of these carbines ended up in the hands of the SS leading to the development of the G.33/40 Mountain Carbines. Numbers are matching with the exception of the bolt, which is still of the correct type. CONDITION: Retains 70% original finish mixed with a pleasing patina and areas of rust with some minor pitting. All markings are clear including the Czech Lion on the top of the receiver. Wood has some dings and handling marks, along with some scrapes from the rear band having been moved without loosening the screw. Bore is dirty with good rifling and pitting. Fine mechanical function.
