This is a Model 1892 Krag rifle that is dated 1894 on the receiver. This gun has the 1896 upgrades consisting of the rear sight, bolt, crowned muzzle, hand guard, and was upgraded to an 1898 dated 1896 style stock. Brass muzzle cover. CONDITION: Retains a pleasing patina overall with about 30% original finish here and there. Wood is very good with some dings and handling marks, there is a crack on either side of the stock extending back and down from there the wood meets the receiver in the corners. Fine mechanical function. Bore is very good with strong rifling.
