Fitted with No. 3 Weight barrels, this 16 gauge has standard zig-zag border engraving and is stamped on both sides of the case colored action "Sterlingworth." The 28" barrels have standard barrel markings with matted rib and front bead is missing. The gun features double triggers, extractors, and has an automatic safety. The splinter forearm is checkered in standard elongated diamond pattern with repaired crack running on right side which is visible and appears stable. Capped pistol grip buttstock is checkered in two point pattern with lined buttplate. CONDITION: Good overall. Barrels retain approximately 70% barrel blue with a heavy dent in left tube about 9" from muzzle and some pock marks near breech. Receiver retains about 35% original case colors, mostly on sides, turned silver on bottom. Trigger guard retains about half of its original blue. Forend with repair as noted above, shows flaked finish with hunting bumps. The buttstock shows flaked finish with scattered hunting bumps and bruises. The buttplate shows minor losses at the toe. Bores are good with some minor orange peel, forcing cones lengthened. With some TLC, this would make a great hunting partner!
