The Winchester frame on this rifle was manufactured from May 1943 to October 1943. It is a typical Korean War rebuild rifle with a Springfield barrel with DOD eagle acceptance stamp. TE reading: 3. ME reading: 1. Bolt is stamped "D2828719S 0-16" (not correct). Stock has block "P" at wrist. No cartouche on left side. CONDITION: Barrel, frame and trigger guard assembly retain 90% of their parkerized finish. Gas tube is gun metal grey. Stocks are very good. Rear sight is a later replacement. Comes with green canvas sling.
