This standard Model 1895 Saddle Ring Carbine features full round barrel, single barrel band, sling swivel, rear swivel in buttstock, Climbin' Lyman Model 21 receiver sight, saddle ring stud (ring has been removed but it present), blued finish, carbine butt with trapdoor. These Zane Grey pattern carbines with out rear sight are very rarely found and were available by special order only. Forearm is not cut for rear sight. CONDITION: Barrel retains 85% original blue with muzzle wear and some wear on both sides of barrel, approximately 1". 85% bright factory blue on bands. 75% bright factory blue on frame and magazine with overall high edge wear. 85% blue on sight. Walnut stocks are excellent and proud to metal with a few minor impressions. Action is fine. Bore exhibits strong lands, grooves have dulled. Very nice carbine in popular caliber.
