Enfield Model 47c made in 1945 at B.S.A. Shirley and converted by Holland & Holland to a sniper. Correct "TR" selection mark at wrist with S51 Holland & Holland marking in numbered matching stock. Holland & Holland "S" marking just behind receiver ring. Receiver marked "England" with correct No. 32 scope mounting brackets. All matching numbers on bolt, receiver and stock. Correct angular sling swivel in front of mag indicating post 1944 production. 90 degree battle sight marked "SM" and"N67". Front band marked "CEW" with broad arrow proof. Broad arrow marked trigger guard with correct unmarked clip. "SL 74" with broad arrow stamped in wood and correct pewter buttplate with trap. Two screw scalloped cheek piece. Correct No. 32 Mk III scope with mount, post reticle and period leather scope caps. American style leather sling with steel hardware and no date. Comes with cleaning kit, scope wrench and unique carrying handle. Includes a wooden painted olive drab green case with hinged lid and instructions with white stencil markings "Chest SA No. 15 Mk1" on both sides with "Rifle No. 4 Mk.1" and (T. Less Telescope) below on opening side. Leather carrying handles with shipping tag on end of case. Also includes canvas covered rubber No. 8 scope case with brass buckle sling and instructions. CONDITION: Rifle retains 90% original military finish on barrel , receiver and hardware. Bore is excellent with sharp lands and grooves. Wood has nearly all the finish with some light handling marks. Scope is clear with original finish and some light scratches, (lens cover strap is torn). Mechanically excellent. 90% case paint remains with handling marks and minor dings and dents. Leather straps are dry and cracked. No breaks or splits. Canvas scope case is in good condition with readable instructions and no rips or tears.
