Board is framed in oak. Panel is marked on top “WINCHESTER” in red over “REPEATING ARMS COMPANY” in gold. Bottom of board reads “NEW HAVEN. CONN. U.S.A. / NEW YORK SAN FRANCISCO”. Center of “W” has two ducks hanging. Left part of “W” shows a vignette of a hunter with an Indian scout. Right part of “W” shows a cowboy laying on the ground over his dead horse firing a Winchester rifle. Cartridges are all labeled. Board also shows some primers. Shotshells are on both sides and bottom. This board is referred to as the "Single W" with wood grain background. CONDITION: Very good condition. Frame is intact with some scratching overall. Backboard is clean. Vignettes are clear. Upon close inspection of all surfaces with a blacklight there is a 3/4" spot of restoration on the right vignette, a 2" inpainted scratch on hanging ducks; the only places of restoration we could find on the paper area. Surface is clean, all cartridges intact. There are a few small scatter blemishes in the paper that could easily be touched up but have not, as they are very minor. This is an extremely clean example of the rare and desirable 19th century cartridge boards given out to Winchester's largest dealers only and were never offered for sale to the general public. They suffer a poor survival rate as most were destroyed or cartridges removed. Due to their large size, many were relegated to basements and attics where they were left to decades of changing environment, temperature and moisture; this board has suffered none of those effects.

This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.
