This special order rifle features full round barrel, button magazine, sporting front sight, three leaf express folding rear sight, barrel legends are sharp. Left side of barrel has all the British proofs. CONDITION: Finish is a blue-brown patina with some scattered freckling and spotting. Frame retains approximately 20-30% case colors on right, 10% on left. 10% bolt blue. The problem with this frame is that it has overall salt and pepper on almost the entire surface. Hammer has good case colors. Lever and buttplate have been refinished. Pistol grip walnut stock has been refinished, slightly shy to metal and in condition. Forend checkering is wearing thin in spots. Very good action. Well-defined rifled bore with some minor residue. Nice gun with lots of special features in a popular caliber. If one was to refinish the forend to match the buttstock and re-case color the frame to remove the salt and pepper, it could be a beautiful gun.
