This is an interesting gun in that is is marked as a Model 1893, is dated 1894, but conforms to the Model 1895 carbine pattern including the squared off bottom to the bolt face. Manufactured by Loewe in Berlin. Nice crest and date on the top of the receiver. Matching numbers with the exception of the floorplate. CONDITION: Gun appears to have been arsenal refinished at some point, retains 80% of that finish. All markings are clear. Wood is very good with some light dings and handling marks. Bore is fine with strong rifling. Good mechanical function.
