Standard Type 38 carbine made at Nagoya Arsenal. Series 4. All matching numbers on the receiver, bolt, cocking knob and front band. The dustcover is not matching. The chrysanthemum on top of the receiver has been lightly ground, still mostly visible though. This was done on "issued souvenirs" at the end of the war. Original cleaning rod. The follower and possibly follower spring are replacements. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% finish. All markings are clear. Wood has varnish wear with dings and handling marks, good Kanji characters in the bottom of the stock. The bolt sticks a bit when fully opened. Bore is fine with strong rifling.
