.69 CAL. OL: 58". BL: 42". This 1816 "US" musket has its lock marked "L. Pomeroy" below an American Eagle and the date "1825 US". The barrel/lock have the "bolster conversion" and the barrel is dated "1825" and marked "US/JM". The arsenal bolster conversion may be of Confederate origin and there is a "period of usage" carved named "TIM COX" on the stock. All metal has been polished bright and the walnut stock has been cleaned and waxed.
