Circa 1895. Two oscillating cylinders drive a single cylinder pump. An air chamber helps to deliver a steady stream of water just like the real engines of its day. The large frame is a water tank to hold lots of water for the young enthusiastic owner to spray all over Mother’s house. Much of the hand painting has flaked off as is often the case for toys from this era since they did not paint on any primer before they painted the toy. It is missing its stack but otherwise it is in complete condition. A very desirable toy depicting the real fire engines that Jr. would have seen operating in his home town.
Condition: (Good).
Item Dimensions: 10" x 15 - 1/2".
