Marklin No. 4135 twin upright or marine engine that was described in the 1904 Marklin catalog as a “Hammer Engine”. It has a horizontal boiler mounted inside of very ornate imitation brick masonry housing. It has two single action slide valve cylinders, mounted on a fine “japanned” imitation tile base. The chimney is also of fine detailed imitation brick work. This is a work of art that is extremely difficult to find in any condition.
