Frisbie obtained a patent for the engine on August 15, 1871. Frisbie was employed by the J. & E. Stevens Company, the manufacturer of this toy. This walking beam toy engine was one of the first successful steam toy made in America. This engine is in excellent condition. A must for any steam toy or cast iron toy collection. CORRECTION - This Frisbie was professionally restored with a new base and paint.
