L. Darras Optique Medidale Company of Paris marketed this early Doll Steam Roller. He placed his decal over the Doll decal on the box before he sold the engine. The roller is a Doll et Cie model no. 506. When Doll sold out to Fleischman, the successor to this model was made in large numbers; however, this model of roller as made by Doll is relatively hard to find. The box is in poor condition and the engine has much paint loss. Otherwise the roller is all original with a whistle, oscillating cylinder, safety vale and the original smokestack.
