Includes original wood box. The boiler is jacketed to help prevent loss of heat. The jacket is vented at the top by two cut out “stars” on each side. The boiler trimmings are a safety valve and a whistle. This well made engine was introduced circa 1896, with variations of the engine continuing in production until circa 1927. The price for this engine was a hefty $8.00 in 1896.
