This very rare and desirable Edgar Side “Pioneer” Overtype engine is in its original box. Edgar Side was in business in Philadelphia. Very faint marking on the jacket “The Pioneer/Edgar Side”. This is the only known model of engine that Edgar Side produced. The engine is exceptionally well made. It has two try-cocks instead of a waterglass, similar to the real engines of its day. With its original burner. Weeden bought out Edgar Side and purchased all of their remaining parts inventory. The box is in very good condition with a great instruction decal on the end of the box.
