This small accessory is very rare. The hoist includes a balance wheel, pulley, winding drum, geared wheel and drum release spring. This hoist was designed exclusively for use with the Weeden no. 20 “Big Giant” steam engine and was only available circa 1915 to 1917 from the “Youths Companion” for the price of $1.00. Most of the paint has flaked off of this toy.
