Dated 1826. OL: 58". BL: 42". The flintlock was an arsenal conversion marked "H&P" and "1862" on top of the barrel, which has been lightly cleaned with "emery papers", as have all metal parts. The walnut stock has barely legible inspector marks and the edges are soft. The stock has been re-finished and waxed although intact except for piece above the rear of the lock. It has original Springfield Armory Museum tag.
