.69 CAL. OL: 56". BL: 42". This 1808 contract musket has its lock marked "S. CT. E. Stillman". Springfield pattern. There are no other markings and the lock is percussion, converted by a private gunsmith. Smooth brown patina. Typical corrosion on breech area of barrel. "CS" stamped on lockplate. Engraved hammer and unique nipple/drum in the barrel. The gun is overall untouched and carries its original surface.
