OL: 58". BL: 42". Arsenal conversion by "H&P". "1864" as marked on the barrel. This 1816 US Springfield musket has an arsenal conversion by "H&P" and is marked on the barrel. The lockplate has a "spread-wing eagle" and "US" in front of the hammer and is marked "Springfield 1831" on the lock. The oil finish stock has its original patina and the metal parts are bright with brown barrel bands. The stock's inspector marks are still very intact. Also, the 1816 "US" bayonet and scabbard, with a "period-style" leather sling accompany this musket.
