In original box. The box has a decal on the end that shows the engine as being sold by Ives, Blakeslee & Company. The box also has operating instructions on a decal on the top. I.B. & Company sold all of the Buckman manufactured toys. The brass hull boats were sold for $36 per dozen circa 1895. It is rare to find these boats in their original boxes.
