Patented May 7, 1872. Probably made by Buckman. At least the engine is of Buckman manufacture. This boat carries with it much nostalgia from the old river boat era. Side wheels are seldom seen in the toy boats being manufactured in this era. One can envision this boat chuffing along the waters of the river. A great toy, a great piece of history and a great piece of artwork all rolled into one toy.
