Advertised as “exact reproduction of the large locomobiles seen on our streets at the present day”. This Locomobile is driven by a steam engine situated in the rear of the body, operating a gear to the rear wheels. The boiler is mounted under the seat. The burner is removable and acts as the floor board of the auto. An ink stamped American flag is faintly visible on the side of the auto. Introduced in 1894 and produced until circa 1901. It originally sold for $1.25. This rare Locomobile is an interesting example of early automobile technology. It is an art form as well as an interesting toy. The seat and the burner are professional made replacements. There is a small amount of play wear chipping on the edges.
