Includes side stanchions to support the engine and flywheel. This style steam engine was made by Weeden, Doll, Rossignol and Carette. It is not known who was first and who copied who. A Sears Roebuck ad from 1895 shows this engine being available for $1.69. It has a stationary engine and valve gear, and a flywheel with curved spokes. The stack appears to be a replacement.
