Circa 1820 to 1840. OL: 55". BL: 40 - 1/2". TB: Octagonal. LM: Flintlock. PB: 2-piece. S: Curly maple. Unsigned. Maker: J. Dickert. This Kentucky has used a “J. Dickert” barrel and has a poorly re-converted lock. The simple two-piece patchbox has a replaced lid and the rear ferrule is the two-piece kind with an iron pin holding the two-pieces together. However, nothing else points to the classic Upper Susquehanna School.
KENTUCKY RIFLE.
