Circa 1840 to 1860. OL: 41". BL: 25 - 1/2". TB: Octagonal. LM: Percussion. PB: 4-piece. S: Curly maple. Maker: J. Deming. 1 brass inlay. This signed “J. Deming” may be one of the later members of the “Harmon Deming” family in Canaan, Connecticut. Again this is a shortened half-stock of curly maple with a re-cycled brass patchbox which appears to be of the New York style.
