American. Circa 1950. Hard plastic doll marked "Original Mary Hoyer Doll" in circle on back. Blue lashed sleeping eyes with blonde wig. A few eyelashes missing. Scuff on forehead. Original tagged gray satin gown with lace trim, panties, shoes and matching parasol. Wooden wardrobe trunk and trousseau with tagged red velvet coat, hat and purse, tagged red lace party dress, tagged pink cotton dress, tagged black polka dot dress and belt, tagged silk nightgown, two knit sweaters, tagged blouse with plaid skirt, slacks and matching hat, tagged fur cape, tagged shorts, and skirt. some soil on clothes, but no rips or tears. Also includes simulated pearl necklace, beaded evening bag, tiara, slippers, three pairs of shoes and socks, and a straw hat. Handmade wardrobe trunk was sold in the Mary Hoyer shop on Penn Street in Reading, PA and was crafted by an unknown maker. This is a fabulous Mary Hoyer ensemble. Rare to find such a large assortment of original clothes and accessories.
