64'' T x 43'' W x 31'' D. The Mills Violano-Virtuoso was referred to as ''the musical masterpiece of the day.'' Honored by the U.S. Government, which designated it as ''one of the greatest scientific inventions of the age.'' Mills simply described the unit as a ''self-playing violin with piano accompaniment--every note is clear, full and true.'' Unique and desirable, patent date on unit June 4, 1912; stamped Serial Number 3432. Fine mahogany wood case with upper bi-fold wood frame double doors and beveled glass on two lower solid wood doors (one beveled glass has a small ''starburst'' crack in it). It is clearly distinguished in appearance and a fine addition to ones collection. Mechanism will need the expected go-thru to put it in good working order. Overall a very fine item.
