"The Jockeys". Fay Moore (American, 20th Century). Signed "Fay Moore" at lower right. Semi-Impressionistic jockeys racing to the finish line at the Kentucky Derby. Moore worked in a number of different styles, but is best known for her horse racing scenes. Moore studied art with Henry Hensche, attended Bennington College in Vermont and Yale Drama School for set design. She painted sports from her studio in Grammercy Park, NY- inspired by the races in Saratoga Springs she attended since the 1960s. Member of the Pastel Society of America and chairperson of the board of The American Academy of Equine Art.

Condition: (Excellent).
